Esports Gaming Lounge

Salas O’Brien provided acoustics and technology design for the Syracuse University esports team’s home. The lounge comprises a virtual reality unit, 36 personal computer gaming stations, and six console gaming stations.

To cater to the recreational esports training facility’s needs, we designed a system that enables the seven in-room video displays to show content from users’ gaming stations. Additionally, we created an option to stream in-room content to online streaming platforms. The venue is connected to the University’s high-end Newhouse production facility via fiber for more demanding tournament broadcasts, providing the University with cost-effective access to advanced streaming capabilities by leveraging existing production capacity.

The esports venue provides opportunities for individuals of all skill levels, from experienced competitors to non-gamers. As a result, it has become a favorite venue amongst Syracuse University students.
