New Headquarters Commissioning

Salas O’Brien provided commissioning services for the ASHRAE project, renovating an original 1978 building into an energy-efficient headquarters. This building is now the new ASHRAE headquarters in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The renovated facility provides a functional working environment for approximately 145 ASHRAE employees and offers extensive training and meeting space for ASHRAE members and volunteers.

Our team worked closely with ASHRAE to develop a comprehensive commissioning plan for the building. This included reviewing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure they were functioning optimally and meeting the necessary efficiency standards. We identified issues or deficiencies and addressed them before the building was occupied. The project served as an economical renovation of an existing building to achieve a net zero or zero energy-ready condition.
