West Access Plaza

In partnership with Biggs Cardosa, Salas O’Brien worked to bring innovation to the Warm Springs/South Fremont community with the new Warm Springs BART West Access Plaza. This landmark project offers riders a seamless connection to local businesses, offices, and homes, transforming the city’s transportation landscape. The 250-foot-long pedestrian bridge and plaza are a hub of activity, with amenities like bike lockers, solar charging stations, and an interactive information kiosk.

Salas O’Brien’s electrical engineering team provided top-notch electrical lighting and power design. With expertise in PG&E transformer design, we provided 400A, 480V, and 3-phase power to the bridge. In addition, we collaborated with the City of Fremont and PG&E to coordinate power availability to incorporate the PG&E substructure package design to bring power to the transformer.
