Center for Comparative Medicine

The Center for Comparative Medicine at UConn Health is committed to ensuring humane and ethical care and use of animals involved in approved research to advance medical, biomedical and veterinary knowledge for the benefit of all. Salas O’Brien collaborated with CCM to deliver engineering services to their AAALAC International accredited facility, which provides superior animal care that meets and exceeds public health standards.

Salas O’Brien provided engineering design for the project, which included replacing and upgrading HVAC systems, lighting, and lab casework. This 7-story renovation aligns the building with current and federal regulations on housing research animals. In addition, we offered commissioning services for the renovations.
