Plant Processing and Safety Study

In response to a near-miss overpressure incident, our team at Salas O’Brien partnered with a local asphalt roofing plant to help them better understand its chemical processing capabilities and their related impact on employee safety and environmental compliance. Our team immediately assigned personnel to survey the existing processes and interact with plant operators to ensure a safe working environment. We completed the study phase quickly, presenting a report to the client within weeks, including a summary of plant management recommendations for potential capital spending allocations and process modifications. As a result, the plant requested capital funding to install upgrades based on our suggested improvements, providing enhanced safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
