Spice Extraction Plant

Salas O’Brien recently worked with a National Food Ingredient Manufacturer to establish a facility to extract spices. This project included three distinct areas: raw spice receiving, grinding, and milling systems building, new extraction building, and new distillation building for downstream processing and product packaging equipment.

During stage one of the project, we developed major equipment space requirements, block flow diagrams, and identified additional materials testing and experimentation needed to complete stage one.

During stage two, we finalized space requirements, layout, basic engineering, and further project definition, including the layout of main piping, basic controls, and major equipment needs. In addition, both phases included probably construction cost estimates to give our client a better expectation of overall cost throughout the design stages.
