The MSG Sphere

The MSG Sphere, located on the Las Vegas Strip, is a one-of-a-kind immersive entertainment venue. The Sphere can accommodate up to 20,000 people while standing and up to 17,600 people when seated. More than half the seats provide an immersive visual, audio, and physical experience. The building features wrap-around LED screens and one million LED lights on the exterior. This building is poised to be a model for the future by utilizing sustainable and energy-efficient design principles.

Salas O’Brien provided technology consulting services for the Sphere venue. Our team was responsible for developing audio and control processing for the Infrasound system. This system offers seat-specific and time-aligned haptic feedback to a large portion of the seats in the venue. Our design includes digital signal processor systems and Powersoft amplifiers, accessed through user-friendly control interfaces operated by the venue operations staff.
