Foster Pavilion

Baylor University’s recently unveiled $213 million Foster Pavilion stands
as a beacon of modernity, drawing throngs of enthusiastic fans. With a
7,000-person seating capacity, the arena seamlessly blends cutting-edge
technology with a nostalgic ambiance. The vaulted roof, designed for
optimal use of space creates an intimate setting reminiscent of classic
fieldhouse models, while showcasing unique geometric elements that add
to its timeless allure.

Salas O’Brien led the design of a cutting-edge IPTV System after
meticulously testing the arena’s acoustics. Setting a distinctive tone, the
videoboards stationed in both end zones starkly contrast to conventional
arenas. Forgoing a centerhung design, the team prioritized designing a
compact bowl layout, optimizing square footage to elevate the overall
fan experience. The two screens are seamlessly attached to and echo the
shape of the exterior windows at both ends, blending form and function
harmoniously.
