Flavors Packaging Facility

Salas O’Brien provided all engineering and design services, programming, IT, startup, and construction management for an innovative new packaging structure. The project called for eight lines of various-sized packing units to fit within the existing facility while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations. To meet this goal, we strategically placed three levels of equipment for powder handling, sifting, and pack-off.

Through extensive design reviews with the project’s stakeholders, our team incorporated cGMP principles and specific design guidelines from the client. In addition, our team recommended value engineering options to meet budgetary goals throughout the process. We also assisted in equipment procurement and overall technical support, including installation and startup.

This project was the client’s first experience with design-build project delivery, and the result was an efficiently designed, carefully planned packaging structure that exceeded client expectations.
