Community Compatibility Website and Handbook Development

To foster strong relationships between local communities and military installations, we partnered with the Maryland Department of Planning to develop an online portal and handbook for military communities in Maryland and planning professionals. This project was a follow-up activity to the state’s compatible use study. We designed these resources to provide military leaders, jurisdictions, and communities with guidance, best practices, and tools for promoting mission compatibility.

We worked closely with stakeholders throughout the process, conducted interviews with the client, and gathered research to create informational website content. These materials will ensure that both communities and installations maximize benefits from their shared environment through mutual understanding and respect.
