Refinery New Desalter Installation

Salas O’Brien partnered with a major oil refinery client who required a new
desalter to eliminate salt from crude oil, an essential step in oil refining. We
provided mechanical, structural, electrical, and instrument design for the
dual-frequency desalter, which has a higher treatment capacity and will
eventually reduce capital and operating expenses.

In addition to our design services, we provided project management,
construction management, and commissioning support. Our attention to
detail ensured that the equipment and piping were designed within the
existing building footprint and onsite power capacity, maintaining safety
and regulatory compliance at all times.
