Keegan Kitchen Remodel

Salas O’Brien partnered with the Houston Food Bank to design and renovate Keegan Kitchen, a 15,000-square-foot facility that prepares hot and cold meals for Meals on Wheels, US Vets, and Kids Cafe at the Mary Barden Keegan Center in downtown Houston.

Our extensive work in retail, commercial kitchens, and our involvement with the local community made us the ideal choice to perform this work. We provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for the new kitchen that provides an additional 10,000 meals a day for these programs.

In addition, we provided the engineering required to connect and install cooking equipment and HVAC systems, including the requirements for fire suppression, gas lines, and ventilation systems integrated with existing infrastructure.
