Daphne Cockwell Health Sciences Complex

Salas O’Brien provided electrical and lighting design services for this award-winning health sciences complex. The new Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) facility offers mixed-use spaces, student living, learning, and innovation, accommodating 330 students in 100 residential units. The new building is home to TMU’s Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing, the Midwifery Education, School of Nutrition, School of Occupational and Public Health, Communications, Government & Community Engagement, University Advancement, six centrally-booked classrooms, ranging from 60 to 225 seats and accommodating a total of 730 students.

Sustainability features include a green roof, and the building is targeting LEED Gold certification.
