Century old high school replaced with larger, modern spaces
Bath, ME, USA
Morse High School and Bath Regional Technology Center
Our team worked closely with the architect on the design of the new three-story facility. The project replaces a century-old high school and is now 20,000 square feet larger than the original building and has two gymnasiums, two athletic fields, and an enhanced theater.
This innovative new school accommodates 650 students with a vocational program with labs, instructional, classrooms, and support spaces for several occupations, including Culinary Arts & Café, Cosmetology, Early Childhood Occupations, Automotive Technology, Welding & Metal Fabrication, Carpentry, Electrical Technology, Commercial Arts, Design Technology, Health Sciences, Criminal Justice.
Our strategic use of windows (keeping window-to-wall ratio below 30%) and solar tubes provides daylighting to over 95% of all learning spaces. And high-efficiency heating and air conditioning reduce operational costs.
