Cardiac Care Center

St. Mary’s is the second-largest acute care hospital in the St. Joseph’s Health System and a regional cardiac care center in the heart of Kitchener, Ontario.

Salas O’Brien has been one of St. Mary’s General Hospital’s preferred engineering consultants since 2007. Most recently, we provided onsite construction and upgrade support for its new Cardiac Care Centre. Our services included electrical, ICAT, connectivity, and security design.

We also upgraded the hospital’s CCTV system, which included constructing and installing a new fiber-optic backbone to support the new system as a distinct structure. A newly installed head-end platform, housed within a dedicated communications room, oversees the updated system from an upgraded security office. The office features a user-friendly interface to the CCTV camera system, seamlessly integrated as part of the new deployment. Our team is committed to supporting the healthcare complex and ensuring the project’s sustainability and success.
