New Insurance Company Headquarters

Salas O’Brien collaborated with Scott Simons Architects to provide Patrons Oxford Insurance Company with a new headquarters to attract a younger, more diverse workforce. As a result, our team provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design services for the modern, energy-efficient building that serves as the first tenant in Portland’s Technology Park.

The two-story office building features plenty of light, flexible work and meeting spaces, and a fitness area with lockers and showers. The facility uses mass timber framing with some structural steel reinforcements—and has a photovoltaic rooftop array that will provide up to 40 percent of its electricity needs. The energy savings from our design of energy-efficient equipment will pay for the initial investment in less than ten years.
