Research Center Innovation Hub

Raytheon Technologies Research Center recently conducted an extensive evaluation of its campus facilities and realized the need for renovation. With most of the infrastructure at or beyond its life expectancy, Salas O’Brien collaborated with the architect to study the campus’ potential to support research and laboratory functions. The goal was to plan for future growth, flexibility, and sustainability in the on-site facilities.

Our team won the resulting design contract for renovations and additions on the East Hartford campus. This new Innovation Hub promises to significantly expand Raytheon Technologies’ research capabilities in intelligent systems, advanced materials, manufacturing, and revolutionary propulsion and power technologies. In addition, the facility’s renovation considers all of these elements to allow maximum flexibility in responding to changing research needs over time.
