Worship Center Renovation

Salas O’Brien provided theater consulting to Journey Church to make worship more intimate. Taking the existing building shell, our team developed a stage and seating layout with the orientation of the room rotated 90 degrees from the original long room configuration. This reorientation cut the distance from the stage to the furthest seat in half. With this concept, the stage is thrust into the seating, making the worship experience more immersive. Seating in the rear section of the room is in terraces to provide intimate sight lines to the platform. We also provided design for all new sound, theatrical lighting, architectural lighting, production video, and presentation video systems utilizing the latest available technology.
