Water for Injection (WFI) System Replacement

When a large pharmaceutical manufacturer needed a new Water for Injection (WFI) system, Salas O’Brien provided conceptual development through detailed design. Our scope of work included all civil, architectural, structural, process, HVAC, plumbing, building electrical, and process power.

We designed a complete replacement of the WFI storage and distribution system, consisting of 144,000 gallons of storage, four new silos, and four primary and three secondary recirculation loops. In addition, we designed the system to be fully redundant, ensuring around-the-clock operations and sanitization capabilities to avoid compromising product quality and safety.
