O’Connell Athletic Center

The University of Saint Joseph (USJ), an NCAA Division III school, is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). Salas O’Brien collaborated with USJ to execute several projects to expand its sports and wellness activities.

We renovated the O’Connell Athletic Center to include a fitness center, indoor track, a gymnasium, and locker rooms. In addition, Salas O’Brien provided comprehensive engineering services for a multipurpose classroom, student health services, a student-athlete training suite with a nutrition center, and a hydrotherapy area.

These renovations have allowed USJ to expand its offering of varsity teams and intramurals while providing students with the necessary facilities and resources to excel in athletics and their studies.
