Jefferson Early Childhood Center

The Jefferson Early Childhood Center was the first full-day Pre-K center in the Alief ISD. Built to encourage educational opportunities around every corner, the center accommodates 550 students.

Salas O’Brien designed the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology systems and performed commissioning services for three centers. We also ensured that the centers used the latest technology and infrastructure to provide a safe, modern learning environment.

We worked to provide all classrooms and common spaces with maximum daylighting while supporting the school district’s sustainability goals. We incorporated various sustainable design strategies, including LED lighting throughout.
