Southard Middle School Design

The Princeton Independent School District is a rural school system covering 60 square miles, serving the city of Princeton and the surrounding communities outside of Dallas, Texas.

Salas O’Brien provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology design services throughout its completion for a 147,940-square-foot middle school. The school features a University Interscholastic League regulation basketball gym, an auxiliary gym, a weight room, locker rooms, a dining area with a performance stage that boasts full stage lighting, an interactive learning center, collaborative learning areas, an outdoor courtyard, and science labs.

Their design not only fulfills the operational requirements of a school but also fosters an atmosphere conducive to learning, development, and community development.
