Salas O’Brien announced today that Montréal-based IGRL Consultants has joined the company, further strengthening Salas O’Brien’s manufacturing expertise and creating a combined firm of 54 offices, more than 1,400 team members, and 360 registered professionals.
The IGRL team’s capabilities and portfolio complement Salas O’Brien’s existing work in food & beverage manufacturing, and the merger increases our combined team’s ability to provide comprehensive, integrated, multi-discipline engineering services in this important market.
As the next step in Salas O’Brien’s strategy to be local everywhere, with international resources, the IGRL team will continue to be managed by its current leaders and will adopt the Salas O’Brien name after a transition period.
The merger closed on January 1, 2022, and news was shared soon afterward with both the IGRL and Salas O’Brien teams.
“Outstanding engineering talent is a key component of the remarkable growth of the food and beverage industry,” said Darin Anderson, Salas O’Brien chairman and CEO. “The IGRL team has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, and with our like-minded culture and entrepreneurial approach, I am confident that we will achieve even greater success together.”
Salas O’Brien continues to grow as part of an ambitious plan to create the most respected engineering firm in the world as measured by our clients and team members. IGRL represents the first merger in 2022 for Salas O’Brien.
“Joining Salas O’Brien provides so much opportunity for our clients and team,” said Roger Langlois, IGRL President. “This merger underlines what has always been the case: we are committed to technical excellence, sustainable solutions, and doing what is right for our clients and team members.”
