Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Facility

Salas O’Brien provided comprehensive design and engineering services for Mas Energy’s new Renewable Natural Gas Facility in Arlington, Texas. Our team designed a state-of-the-art facility capable of processing 3,000 SCFM of waste gas streams, with built-in capacity for future expansion to 5,100 SCFM. Our expertise encompassed site development, permitting, construction assistance, and commissioning. We engineered a 6,000-square-foot metal building housing advanced gas compression, membrane systems, and outdoor process equipment.

Our multidisciplinary approach covered mechanical, electrical, process, and control systems, ensuring a seamlessly integrated facility. Process design included the development of process flow diagrams and process & instrumentation diagrams, process hazards analysis, site layout of equipment, and design of the piping systems. By providing end-to-end solutions, we enabled Mas Energy to efficiently convert landfill and wastewater treatment plant gases into valuable renewable natural gas.
