Salas O’Brien partnered with this Fortune 500 Power Company to provide a design solution for their existing substation exceeding capacity and experiencing 10% load growth per year. As a result, the location and layout helped reduce the station’s footprint while allowing for continued service during construction. To efficiently use time and resources, we implemented a prefabricated bus design wherein the control house was built and wired offsite, delivered as one complete system, and then connected to the yard equipment in the field.
