Girard Engineering joins Salas O’Brien strengthening our presence in the Washington DC area.

Salas O’Brien announced today that Girard Engineering has joined the company, further strengthening Salas O’Brien’s presence in the Washington, DC, region.

The Girard team’s capabilities and portfolio complement Salas O’Brien’s existing work in the Mid-Atlantic, particularly with large commercial clients and the federal government.

The explosive growth of the Washington, DC, area calls for outstanding engineering talent. The Girard team’s expertise is second to none, and with their like-minded culture and approach, I have no doubt we’ll experience great success together.

As the next step in Salas O’Brien’s strategy to be local everywhere, with international resources, the Girard team will continue to be managed by its current leaders and will adopt the Salas O’Brien name after a transition period. The Girard team will also collaborate with teams from across Salas O’Brien with the goal of offering a single point of contact for a wide variety of in-house engineering and related services.

The merger closed on June 1, 2021, and the news was shared soon afterward with both the Girard and Salas O’Brien teams.

Salas O’Brien’s approach is a perfect match for our technical proficiency, commitment to sustainability, and ambition to always do what’s right for our clients. We look forward to serving our clients’ needs with the same level of care and attention even as we add more resources and capabilities.
