Ben Boeshans speaks at Infocomm 23
Ben Boeshans, CTS-D from Salas O’Brien shares expertise on audio standards at AVIXA's Infocomm 23.
At this year’s Infocomm23, Ben Boeshans, a Senior Consultant at Salas O’Brien, gave a hands-on presentation with Tim Habedank on the latest audio standards. His session, titled “Audio Standards in Action,” was held on Tuesday, June 13, and offered a practical look at AVIXA’s new Audio Coverage Uniformity and Spectral Balance standards and STIPA.
Ben’s presentation covered everything from setting up for measurements to analyzing and reporting the data. Testing was carried out and explained during the session to make the concepts easy to understand. This was a great chance for attendees to see and participate in the process firsthand.
Ben is well-known for his work on high-performance audio designs for large venues. Recent projects include Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Q2 Stadium in Austin, Baylor University Pavilion, Boston College’s Alumni Stadium, and St. Paul’s Chapel at Trinity Church Wall Street. Ben has been with the team that merged with Salas O’Brien since 2010 and, was active in the development of the AVIXA standards and is a past member of AVIXA’s Standards Steering Committee, showing his deep commitment to the audio-visual field.
