Eco-friendly, efficient chiller plant upgrade
San Ramon, CA, USA
2600 Camino Ramon Chiller Plant
In partnership with the city of San Ramon, Sunset Development is aiming to transform a bustling business park into a vibrant downtown community. To this end, Salas O’Brien worked to bring the 2600 Bishop Ranch building up to their high standards for sustainability and efficiency.
This project entailed completely refreshing the mechanical system for the two-million-square-foot property. Our team executed comprehensive mechanical and electrical reviews and designs, construction drawings, specifications, and permits, which detailed removing an outdated lake-based condenser water system and installing three new 1,000-ton chillers with supporting infrastructure. In addition, our expert team provided oversight for the construction and installation of the new chillers and offered comprehensive construction administration and close-out services.
This innovative design enabled Sunset Development to reach its ambitious sustainability goals and will facilitate its plans to expand the business park.
