Designing the first major five-star hotel and casino in Turks and Caicos
Turks and Caicos Islands
Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Casino
This beachfront property combines high-end hotel accommodations with private condominiums – the first luxury-branded homes on the islands. The development consists of three 12-story residential towers, the largest of which is a 122-key Ritz-Carlton hotel. The hotel tower includes a casino, fitness center, restaurant, and spa, while the other two towers comprise 60 private condominiums. The systems that service the hotel and residential areas required sophisticated engineering to accommodate the development’s scale and complexity, and the site’s location caused unique challenges for standard MEP processes. To meet the individual requirements for this island site, we implemented creative water treatment processes in addition to traditional engineering design for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. By optimizing Ritz-Carlton’s systems and infrastructure, the brand can deliver the premier service it promises and delivers worldwide to its residents and guests.
