Salas O’Brien’s fifth merger in 2022 creates a team of over 1,550 across North America

Salas O’Brien announced today that California-based DPB Engineers has joined the company. This further strengthens our services to the healthcare sector and creates a combined firm of more than 55 offices with over 1,550 team members and 370 registered professionals.

The DPB team’s capabilities and portfolio complement Salas O’Brien’s existing electrical engineering work across North America. The merger increases our combined team’s ability to provide comprehensive, integrated, multi-disciplinary engineering services.

As the next step in Salas O’Brien’s strategy to be local everywhere, with international resources, the DPB team will continue to be managed by its current leaders and will adopt the Salas O’Brien name after a transition period.

The merger closed on June 1, 2022, marking the fifth company to join Salas O’Brien this year.

“DPB Engineers adds so much to the Salas O’Brien family,” said Farzad Tadayon, managing principal and leader of Salas O’Brien’s offices in Southern California and Arizona. “Their level of respect and good standing—particularly in the healthcare and education sectors—will help carry our project delivery to even greater heights.”

Salas O’Brien continues to grow as part of an ambitious plan to create the most respected engineering firm in the world, as measured by clients and team members.

“Our clients have long recognized DPB as a leading provider of electrical engineering solutions, but we are excited to help introduce them to Salas O’Brien’s broader spectrum of in-house services,” said Duc Bui, president of DPB Engineers.
