The Gorilla Foundation Ape Sanctuary Expansion

Salas O’Brien was the zoo design firm contracted by partner Ursa International (Ursa) to provide visualization services to renovate the existing Gorilla Foundation campus in Woodside, California. Our team provided 3D renderings and walk-through animation for an expanded 7,000-square-foot great ape habitat, 1,100-square-foot gorilla clubhouse, exploration chutes, and quarantine areas. Salas O’Brien and Ursa coordinated directly with the Gorilla Foundation to ensure the conceptual design fully addressed animal wellness issues. Final deliverables included an interactive 3D model which the COO of the Gorilla Foundation can utilize for fundraising efforts.
