David Morales, Associate Vice President and BIM Manager, has been appointed Vice Chair of the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) Digital Technology Council Board of Direction.

NIBS brings together leaders from the public and private sectors to address challenges in the built environment and advance national standards and best practices. The Digital Technology Council builds on the work and foundation of building information management and modeling and reflects the rapid expansion of digital technology in the built environment.

David has been involved in NIBS since 2021, participating in the Building Information Management Council and as a reviewer, voter, and public contributor for the NBIMS-US Version 4 (National BIM Standards-US), which launched fall 2023.

With over 20 years of experience in building information modeling (BIM) implementation and strategy, David is a leader in advancing BIM standards across sectors such as telecommunications, data centers, federal facilities, and large-scale technology projects. He holds a master’s degree in Global BIM Management and is an active member of buildingSMART USA.

David’s expertise and leadership reflect Salas O’Brien’s dedication to shaping the future of digital technology in design and construction.
