Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum

The primary purpose of the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum is to educate visitors about the history of the Holocaust and to advance human rights in combating prejudice, hatred, and indifference.

OMNIPLAN’s vision was to make the entire experience of visiting the museum cohesive from the moment you see the museum from afar, to when you enter the main exhibit, to the moment you leave. Our acoustic design enhanced that vision to make sure speech intelligibility was clear and that the contemplative nature of the exhibits was cared for.

An important factor in our design was taking into account the proximity of the project to the DART rail line. We focused on design for sound isolation and noise/vibration control to protect the quiet and reflective atmosphere within the museum.
