El Rodeo School Auditorium

Revamping the El Rodeo School in Beverly Hills, California, presented a unique challenge. Originally built in 1927 and expanded upon in the 1950s and 1960s, the primary objective was to modernize the auditorium while maintaining the building’s historic charm, crucial for retaining its state registration and recognition as a historical building.

Our theater consulting team devised a unique drop-down fixture, seamlessly blending professional-grade lighting capabilities with unimpeded sightlines, thus safeguarding the room’s authenticity and ceiling integrity. This innovative fixture, installed with electronic controls, represents a harmonious fusion of modern technology and historical preservation. Additionally, we relocated the projection booth to the main floor, discreetly positioned behind the seating area, and introduced wireless controls for enhanced convenience and functionality.
