Transit Authority Office Consolidation

Salas O’Brien spearheaded Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) ambitious headquarters consolidation program, transforming their workspace efficiency. Our team reduced WMATA’s office buildings from ten to four, including three new LEED Gold high-rises. As program manager and owner’s representative, we delivered comprehensive services, from building systems engineering to energy modeling and commissioning. Our strategic consolidation cut operating expenses and enhanced employee work conditions.

The project’s sustainability focus, evidenced by the LEED Gold certification, underscores our commitment to environmental stewardship. By streamlining WMATA’s operations and prioritizing sustainable design, we provided the ability to deliver value-driven, future-proof solutions for complex organizational needs.
