Whey Protein Isolate (WPI) Production Enhancement

Salas O’Brien played a crucial role in upgrading a major dairy product manufacturing facility to enhance its production capabilities for Whey Protein Isolate (WPI). To accommodate the specific requirements of the new product formulation, we made substantial upgrades to our existing equipment. This included installing new filtration systems, enhancing the steam and chilled water utilities, and adding two new 30,000-gallon storage silos. We also introduced a new powder storage bin equipped with a dense phase powder feed and discharge system to facilitate the efficient handling of the product. In addition to providing an innovative engineering solution, we provided significant value by delivering the entire project in a turnkey manner. All engineering, procurement, installation, construction management, and commissioning were included in a single contract, allowing the project to be completed efficiently and easily.
