Toronto General Hospital Interventional Radiology Redevelopment

Toronto General Hospital is upgrading its Interventional Radiology department to enhance patient care and modernize its medical facilities. This redevelopment involves the phased renovation of four angiography suites, including two Single-Plane and two Hybrid CT interventional rooms, along with associated control and equipment rooms. Additional upgrades include a shared open reporting space, a storage room, a reporting room, and an extra procedure room.

Salas O’Brien provided mechanical, electrical, AV, IT, and security design services. Our team upgraded new angiography equipment, enhanced mechanical and electrical infrastructure, color-changing lighting for improved patient comfort, and lead shielding assessments. We also updated flooring, millwork, and wall protection to meet infection control and durability standards.

A phased construction schedule allows hospital operations to continue throughout the renovation.
