Sustainable Data Center Campus

Salas O’Brien provided building envelope commissioning for Meta’s new data center. This data center project achieved LEED Gold Certification, becoming the first LEED Gold-certified data center on its campus in Temple, Texas. Our team supported the project team from design through
construction to help deliver a high-performing, sustainable facility.

The project demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability and high performance, achieving:

• 47% energy cost savings
• 99.9% reduction in water consumption
• 30% increased ventilation and improved indoor environmental quality
• 120+ products with EPDs and/or Material Ingredient Disclosures
• 99%+ construction waste diversion from landfill
