Software Upgrade

Salas O’Brien partnered with a leading food and beverage manufacturer
to modernize a mission critical HMI system supporting energy center
operations without interrupting production. The existing platform had
become difficult to maintain, increasing the risk to uptime and limiting the
facility’s ability to scale.

Leveraging deep expertise with Rockwell technologies, we implemented
a FactoryTalk Optix®-based HMI solution that preserved existing
functionality and communications while introducing a modern, flexible
platform. We designed the interface to mirror the legacy system’s layout
and workflows, maintaining operator familiarity and reducing transition
friction.

To support a controlled transition, the new system was deployed in parallel
with the existing HMI, allowing for full validation prior to cutover and
establishing a standardized platform for future system expansion.
