Senior Living Community Expansion

Salas O’Brien provided comprehensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology engineering services for Glenaire Retirement Community’s expansion in North Carolina. Our team supported designing and coordinating a six-story apartment building and a 30,000 square-foot wellness center expansion. The wellness center featured a new two-story entryway with abundant natural light, sculptural lighting, a sports court connected to a walking track, and an expanded fitness space to promote resident wellness and engagement.

We integrated advanced mechanical systems, including water source heat pumps, gas-fired boilers, and a robust electrical infrastructure featuring a 4,000 A main switchboard and a 2,000 kW diesel generator. Our fire protection and technology designs facilitate life safety and seamless connectivity. This integrated approach enhanced operational efficiency and elevated residents’ quality of life through resilient, sustainable infrastructure.
