Restaurant Interior Renovation

Salas O’Brien partnered with our client to create a vital gathering place for the Mercer Island community. Located between Bellevue and Seattle, with easy freeway access between both, this metropolitan Washington island lacked evening dining options.

Allister opened in the former space of a restaurant that had been a fixture on the island for 15 years. The owner needed to redefine the guest experience and offerings. Our interior design team overhauled the dining area’s floor plan, reimagining the space, tailored to those priorities.

Allister’s marriage of traditional bistro and art deco design elements gives it a vibrant, refined feel, equally suited for enjoying a cocktail at the bar or a family weeknight out. Our interior designers employed arches and screens to delineate the bar and dining areas. A combination of walnut, ribbed glass, and brass detailing throughout the space lends personality and warmth. Allister is now a gathering space for Mercer Islanders – and a destination for neighboring Seattle and Bellevue residents as well.
