Raw Material Handling Plant Upgrade

Salas O’Brien provided structural and civil engineering design for Amrize’s raw material handling upgrade project at the Ravena plant in New York. Our team significantly enhanced raw material processing by installing a new crushing system, advanced material-conveying installations, and an expansive 800-by-190-foot limestone storage hall. The plant production capacity is 2.2 million metric tons per year. These upgrades support operational efficiency, build on previous dry kiln modernization, and dramatically reduce environmental impact.

Our integrated design maximizes plant productivity, streamlines storage and material flow, and reinforces Amrize’s commitment to sustainability, local performance, and long-term community value in the region.
