Pacific Combined Heat and Power Phase I and II

Salas O’Brien is delivering comprehensive engineering services for site-wide microgrids and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems at multiple locations in Japan, including Iwakuni, Okinawa, and Fuji. Our team is designing energy solutions integrating diverse power sources such as photovoltaic installations, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and natural gas and diesel generators.

We are designing the CHP systems with heat recovery capabilities to maximize efficiency and support steam and hot water needs. We are also ensuring critical assets can operate fully islanded for at least 14 days, enhancing energy resilience. Our design incorporates advanced microgrid control systems capable of monitoring, dispatching, curtailing, and load sharing across distributed generation assets. By maximizing efficiency and providing resilient energy, the CHP system provides energy for the future.
