Nursing Addition & Upgrades

Salas O’Brien is partnering with Evergreen Valley College to design the Sequoia Upgrades/Nursing Addition, enhancing student experience with advanced simulation labs and modern instructional spaces. The new two-story facility, covering 6,000 square feet, mimics the sterile corridor of an ICU or clinic, complete with faculty observation booths. The project
also includes 27,000 square feet of interior upgrades in the main Sequoia Building, improving campus flow.

The college’s investment replaced the Sequoia Lecture Hall with an innovative nursing simulation lab and mock hospital space to support the Nursing Program expansion. Collaborating with Perkins Eastman, Salas O’Brien provides mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design, creating a hub for future nursing professionals and setting new educational
standards.
