Neyland Stadium South Renovation
Salas O’Brien delivered a comprehensive engineering design and successfully implemented a low-voltage package for Neyland Stadium. The project encompassed extensive renovations to the south ground and concourse levels, including relocating the visitor locker room, addressing life safety issues, and correcting safety regulations. Additionally, Salas O’Brien designed the replacement of approximately 1,100 linear feet of underground steam and condensate piping to support the stadium expansion. The team navigated complex site constraints and multiple administrative changes, implementing innovative solutions such as cast-in-place steam vaults to accommodate necessary components. The access control system was designed to manage pedestrian traffic in sensitive areas, while the CCTV network provided extensive surveillance throughout the stadium. Throughout the project, Salas O’Brien demonstrated flexibility and expertise, ensuring minimal disruption to existing operations while delivering a state-of-the-art facility upgrade.
