New Public Safety Building

Salas O’Brien is providing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering services for the new Pickens County Public Safety Building. This state-of-the-art facility consolidates multiple county departments, including a 911 call center, EMS department, and training spaces, under one roof.

Our services include power distribution, lighting, HVAC power, and fire alarm systems. The 911 call center features a 500 kV diesel generator, dual uninterruptible power systems (UPS), and redundant telecommunications to meet critical operations power system requirements. Despite the challenges of isolating emergency systems and maintaining budget constraints, the project is on track for completion in 2026, ensuring operational resilience.
