New Drug Production Facility

Salas O’Brien partnered with our client to provide design services for the owner’s new pharmaceutical facility, which features high-speed syringe and cartridge isolator filling lines. Our engineers provided guidance on the overall facility design, utility layout, and piping of hygienic utilities, packaging line modules, sampling labs for potent-compound handling, rainwater harvesting, process water recycling for ESG & sustainability, and process waste handling and treatment.

We were an integral part of the process design team from conceptual through detailed design, construction administration, and on-site field support. We specifically developed design narratives, process flow diagrams, sequence of operations documents, P&IDs, process/equipment specification documents, and provided key design elements for potent compound handling and sterile processing. Our team also coordinated with vendors, collaborated with stakeholders, trade partners, and owner’s representatives.
