New Asphalt Plant

Salas O’Brien provided design, engineering, and project management services to construct a new asphalt plant for US Polyco in a strategic location. We designed railcar and truck loading and unloading stations with weigh scales and transload storage tanks to receive raw materials efficiently. Our team also included a hot oil heater for tank heating and line tracing, a covered steam heater for the rail cars, and a heat exchanger for truck loading in the design. Additionally, we provided structural engineering for new steel structures, reinforced concrete foundations to support a new warehouse and operations building, and designed the new process equipment. To facilitate a well-organized project, we delivered a complete suite of services, including design, preliminary engineering, equipment procurement, and construction management. Our efforts resulted in a fully functioning asphalt terminal that expanded the client’s production capabilities in a rapidly growing market.
