Medina Health Center Addition and Renovation

Salas O’Brien provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology engineering services for Akron Children’s Hospital Medina Health Center, supporting a significant two-story addition and extensive renovation. Our services involved renovating the first floor, previously an emergency department, into a rehabilitation, sports medicine, and behavioral health clinic designed for flexible patient care and privacy. The second-story addition created new clinics for ENT, cardiology, neurology, and radiology, with specialized spaces for allergy shots, audiology, and vision services.

This new center is serving the communities by improving access to both primary care and highly sought-after pediatric specialists. Through thoughtful engineering design, our team delivered advanced building systems that maximize efficiency, patient comfort, and flexibility for diverse pediatric specialties, creating lasting value for our clients.
