Medical Center Combined Heat and Power Design Development

Salas O’Brien delivered comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for a groundbreaking 2.5 MW Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system at Munson Medical Center. As the prime designer for this energy savings performance project, our team worked closely with Trane Technologies to integrate the CHP system with the existing energy center.

The innovative design produces power, steam, and hot water, significantly reducing reliance on the local electric utility and existing boilers. Our engineers skillfully incorporated a new heat recovery steam generator, executing complex piping tie-ins.
